All of which are gluten free and can be made grain and/or dairy free. Focusing on whole food recipes makes it easy to modify to fit dietary restrictions and preferences. Who doesn't love a good summer vacation? I always Who doesn't love a good summer vacation? I always come back with so much renewed energy and inspiration! The only downfall is how challenging it can be to stay consistent with my healthy routines. ⁠

I just got back from a week at Bear Lake with my family. Before we left, I decided I was really going to make an effort to keep up with my supplements, workouts and nutrition while I was there.⁠

Taking a Tablespoon of ACV with a splash of lemon juice and water has been a part of my daily routine for almost a year now. ⁠I take a "shot" in the morning after a not-so-great night of sleep to balance my blood sugar or after dinner to minimize a post-meal blood sugar spike. Tabata Body Weight Workouts with @djetrane! We took turns picking two exercises and alternating them for a Tabata Interval. 4-6 rounds a day was perfect for breaking a sweat in a short amount of time! It was such a fun thing to do together! ⁠

I also made sure to hit the grocery store as soon as we got there to stock up on snacks. Having healthy food on hand made such a difference!⁠

I definitely indulged in things I don't normally eat and did not work out as much as I normally do, but coming back to Denver, I felt refreshed & energized!⁠

I think it's interesting that being bloated, feeling anxious and tired has almost become accepted as just an annoying part of the way life is. Every now and then maybe. But everyday or on a regular basis, we could and should be feeling so much better in our bodies!⁠

Most of us know one of the biggest contributors to not feeling great is gut health. BUT, do you truly understand how to heal your gut? Below are some simple things you can do to eliminate bloating, reduce inflammation, increase energy, minimize cravings, clear up your skin and decrease anxiety, depression and moodiness!⁠

HOW TO HEAL YOUR GUT⁠
➡️ Identify and stop eating the foods negatively affecting you. The usual suspects are gluten, dairy and sugar, but start keeping track of what you ate or drank prior to feeling bloated, tired, anxious, etc. and see if you can find a pattern or identify what foods are causing the issues/discomfort.⁠
➡️ Start taking a daily probiotic. Find one that does not hurt your stomach/cause GI issues and consistently take it every day!⁠
➡️ Monitor how much water you are drinking and try to get in at least 96 ounces a day. Drinking 16 ounces first thing in the morning is one of the practices I recommend to every client. Hydrating when you first wake up, detoxifies your body, balances your lymphatic system and helps increase energy! ⁠
➡️ Meditate, walk and sleep. Managing your stress and taking care of your beautiful bod will go a long way toward feeling better and being more mindful and connected to what is hurting and healing your gut.⁠ It will also help you recognize overeating or stress eating. ⁠
:You do not have to live with daily bloating, low energy and anxiety from gut issues or what you are eating! Taking a proactive approach to figuring it out and healing your gut will not only help you feel better, it is also so empowering!
