Omg…look at this gorgeous girl! What can I say, except I absolutely LOVED working with her! Such a perfect example of how changing up your workouts and nutrition can get you to a place you weren’t sure you could reach. When Val first came to me to help her get in shape for her wedding, she had very realistic goals and expectations, she just wasn’t getting the results she wanted working out on her own. I knew by adding some BbE strength training workouts to her weekly schedule and changing up her daily nutrition, I could get her exactly where she wanted to be!
She had been primarily doing cardio on her own and taking group classes, but had never really incorporated weights into her workouts. I think it’s important to understand that when I work with clients. I meet them where they are at and challenge them from there. With Val, it was no different. She had great cardio endurance, but really needed to build some upper body strength. We started with lighter weights, I got her familiar with the exercises and form and things took off! She was lifting heavier weights and seeing more tone and definition in her arms and back. Yay!
Once we had her fitness program in motion, we worked together to tackle her nutrition. She had been eating “pretty healthy”, but wanted to clean up her diet to really see and feel a difference in her body. We figured out an easy and do-able healthy, daily plan for her, she got committed and focused and made it her new “everyday” (read: not a diet) way to eat. The changes to her nutrition, addition of strength training and keeping up with cardio workouts on her own came together as the perfect combo to get Val looking and feeling radiant, healthy and fit for the big day. Her efforts paid off and most importantly, she felt confident and beautiful as she walked down the aisle!
