Beth contacted Emilee as she was getting ready to move to Denver with her fiancé. Planning a wedding and trying to navigate a new city were going to add stress and take up a lot of time. She was also struggling with her nutrition and had no experience with any workouts outside of cardio. She wanted to make some changes to not only get to her goal weight, but also have more energy and feel strong doing all the outdoor activities that are a big part of the Colorado lifestyle!
Working with Beth was not only so much fun, the positive effects from the changes she was able to make were awe-inspiring! By cutting out sugar (she was a self-confessed chocolate addict), planning her meals and creating more structure in her nutrition thoughout the day, she not only lost weight, she also had more energy and felt so much better! As her workouts progressed and she got more comfortable with strength training, it was so awesome to see her develop endurance in the rest of her activities and build some sexy, lean muscles! To say this girl kicks ass in everything she does is an understatement, and now that she has boosted her health and fitness to match her bright, dynamic personality, well watch out world…because she’s only going up from here!

BbE: What was one of your biggest challenges when it came to living a healthy lifestyle? How has Emilee helped you overcome that?
Nutrition was one of my life long, biggest issues with living a healthy, balanced lifestyle. When I started with Emilee, I booked in a Nutrition and a Training session, as I knew I needed to find out how I could try to overcome my addiction to sugar so that I could start to see the results of working out. Since my teenage years, to the age of 33, I had never managed to figure out the right balance. Emilee helped me find that balance. Within the first 3 months of working with Emilee I had dropped 6lbs AND maintained the loss AND gained toned muscle. Previous efforts had always resulted in a yoyo of losing 5lbs, gaining 5lbs and so on. Another great benefit is that I managed to tone up, as I had never focused any of my workouts around weights and resistance training.
BbE: How does working with Emilee keep you motivated on “off” days?
I never thought that Emilee would be someone who I could go to outside of my 1 hour weekly training session, based on previous personal trainer experiences. But Emilee, being the very sincere and genuine person she is, has always been super available throughout the week, especially if I am having a challenging week and want some help staying accountable. Emilee always tries to get to the root of why you are having trouble sticking to your goals, and makes practical recommendations to get you back on plan. Just having someone else who cares, for me, was a big help!
BbE: What would you say to other girls contemplating working with BbE?
If you’re looking for a coach and partner for all things health, fitness and lifestyle related, Emilee is a perfect fit! I have never found it easy myself, but working with Emilee, for the first time has me less addicted to sugar, and more in control and educated about living a balanced, healthier lifestyle. It definitely took me a few weeks to find my nutrition groove, but Emilee helped me each week, get back on track and is the biggest cheer leader for both the little wins as well as the big successes.
